Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
